At the 1995 NAMM show, thousands witnessed our engineers set up a blind A/B test between their new invention and a real tube amp. No one could tell the difference; some even thought the TransTube Bandit was the real tube amp.

To create the TransTube Circuitry, we studied every aspect of tube amp functionality. It’s not just about gain structure but the entire component chain, damping factor, power amp compression, harmonic structure, non-linear gain stages, and cabinet design. Our competitors failed because they focused on the wrong elements. We emulated the essential tube tone characteristics and discarded the rest, earning three U.S. Patents in the process.
