The Powerhouse guitar shares the same mid-boost circuit as the pricier Fender “Clapton” model but is limited to +12 dB boost, which can be easily modified to the full +25 dB. It uses a fourth dummy coil for effective noise cancellation, making it very quiet without extra shielding. It also features a “zero load” tone pot that, at maximum, bypasses itself to preserve high frequencies and enhance sustain.
